Contract addendum
The terms of this addendum are an integral part of the Agreement
to which it is attached.
Sound System
Microphone requirements:
• CAD Equitek E-100 mic (or alternatively EV RE-20 or an AKG C-3000) for Charles
Lazarus with boom stand.
• Talk mic with on/off switch for Charles Lazarus on boom stand.
• Piano and bass must be mic'd into house.
• Kick, hi-hat and cymbals must be mic'd for monitor mixes.
Monitoring:
• 6 Mackie SRM 450 monitors (bi-amplified) or equivalent, with 5 independent
mixes and reverb in the solo trumpet mix.
• Minimum power handling for monitors should be no less than 200 watts.
• Reverb should be Yamaha Rev 500 or SPX 990 or equivalent.
• A mix of rhythm section including kick, high-hat and cymbals for the brass and
percussion in the orchestra will be needed.
Instrument requirements
Drums and Percussion:
• Yamaha or equivalent 5 piece drumset with 20" kick drum.
• Zildjian, Sabian, or Paiste cymbals. 20" jazz ride; 16" & 18" crashes and 14" hi-
hat with boomstands.
• Drum Stool
• Drum carpet
• 1 set of congas
• 1 set of bongos
• Large Plexiglas sheets to surround back and sides of drums and percussion.
Double bass:
• Bass amp; Eden CXC210 or CXC212 Bass Combo or SWR workingpro 15
• Direct box
Keyboard:
• Grand Piano tuned to A-440 or A-442
• Electric keyboard: Nord Electro 3 or 2 (or alternatively a Yamaha S90 ES)
• Direct box
General requirements
• 4 Manhasset or equivalent music stands with stand lights
• All sound equipment and instruments must be completely set up and ready to go
at least 30 minutes prior to every sound check, rehearsal, and concert.
• A sound engineer must be present for the entirety of all sound checks,
rehearsals, and concerts.
